Dining

Portland has become an epicurean paradise. The city’s ever-diverse population is giving rise to a wide range of restaurants from one end of the city to another. Fresh local produce and other agricultural delights are offered to the public at the Portland Farmer’s Market, as well as many other local farmer's markets throughout the city.

Beer & Wine
Portland is well-known for its microbrews, and with 40 breweries in the city limits Portland is home to more breweries than any other city in the world (Oregon Brewers Guild, Aug. 2011). Notable brewers include Bridgeport, McMenamins and Widmer. In July the largest microbrew festival in America occurs: The Oregon Brewers Fest, featuring the liquid libations of 72 premium craft breweries across the country.

With wine country in Portland’s backyard, oenophiles will take delight. Many local wines are internationally acclaimed for the Pinot Noir grapes grown in the region. It’ll take you quite a while to visit the 390+ wineries scattered among Willamette Valley, the Columbia Gorge, Rogue Valley and more.
