|Progressive Medical Center, the largest integrated facility in the Southeast, is interested in interviewing new clinicians. Clinicians would have the opportunity to shadow not only the practitioners on staff, but also an acupuncturist, a chiropractor, lymph massage therapist, and dieticians all also on staff. In addition to the ability to shadow, they will also be doing primary care. This will be the main part of their job, and they can expect to spend 25-35 hours a week seeing patients. Additionally, our clinic has a heavy emphasis of functional medicine testing. Clinicians will become proficient with standard laboratory testing as well as specialty testing (e.g. stool cultures and food sensitivities), and will have the opportunity to attend weekly training/educational meetings held at Progressive. Other opportunities include:
-The clinician playing an active role in the development of clinical trials and research projects.
-Learning pain management techniques including the use of TENS units, hyperbaric oxygen chambers, prolozone therapy, chiropractic care, and acupuncture.
- A cancer center that incorporates high dose nutritional IVs as well as IPT. This area is overseen by the on staff oncologist here at Progressive.
In summary, a clinician will primarily focus on patient care. They can expect to see 5-10 patients a day. This is not a position that focuses clinicians on paperwork or menial tasks. While there is chart management, that involves paper work, this is not at all the thrust of this position. In addition to patient care, clinicians will be actively supervised primarily by Dr. Cheryl Burdette with opportunity to work with a host of MDs, DOs, chiropractor, acupuncturist etc. as directed by their interest. They will also be involved in research projects that are germane to their interest and that build their academic pursuit.
