Part-Time [28hrs/wk] Experienced Medical Receptionist / Office Assistant for Naturopathic Clinic
This position is our point of contact for visitors to our clinic. The individual in this role must possess and maintain a positive, friendly, client-first attitude. Individual must be detail-oriented, organized, outgoing and highly motivated. We are looking for someone who thrives on making our patients feel welcomed and valued, and is interested in a long term position growing with our practice.
You should be a self-starter, clear communicator, dependable, be able to work independently, and be comfortable and polite on the phone. You must enjoy talking with and meeting a wide variety of people. The ideal candidate is able to work effectively and efficiently at assigned tasks within the designated hours. The ability to multitask in a busy environment is a must. Candidate must be reliable, timely, flexible, patient and have a professional attitude and dress. We are looking for a person that can commit to this job and stay for years, who desires to grow with us – A SUPER TEAM PLAYER who can demonstrate skills by example.

-Computer proficiency is essential [file management, scanning/printing/faxing, navigating the internet] – We are a MAC-based clinic.
-Minimum of two or more years experience in a Medical Reception position with knowledge of insurance.
-Working understanding of naturopathic medicine.
-Able to provide the highest level of customer service to patients, fellow employees and referral sources.
-Greet patients in a welcoming and gracious manner. Answer, screen and direct incoming calls, & retrieve messages.
-Schedule and Check in/out patients. Enter accurate demographics and insurance information.
-Track, collect, and enter all money received from patients for co-pays, supplement and retail purchases.
-Post insurance payments.
-Assist with quality assurance to ensure patient satisfaction with office and services.
-Pull/File patient charts.
-Light cleaning [empty trash, tidy rooms, floors, etc].
-Manage supplement requests, including shipping items as needed.
-Desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives via superior health care.
-Perform other duties or special projects as needed.
