As employee, works in front of house herbal pharmacy filling orders, answering questions, stocking products, receiving inventory, completing front desk duties including answering the phone and booking appointments.
As an independent contractor: Creates and maintains client relationships, provides treatments for a diverse population and variety of ailments using traditional medicine modalities. Uses these modalities to promote, maintain and restore health by diagnosing, preventing or treating disease based on traditional medicine concepts including the use of acupuncture, herbal medicine, massage and other specialties. Markets and promotes oneself and the business to gain a larger client base in the community for themselves and the clinic.
Current Oregon Acupuncture License (L.Ac)
At least 1 year experience outside of internship as an acupuncturist, herbalist or demonstrated equivalent.
NCCAOM board certification in herbal medicine
Strong interest in herbal medicine
Confidence in prescribing herbs
Strong social justice background preferred
Interest in Cooperative development and functioning preferred
Experience with business development preferred.
Insurance panel credentialing prefered but not required
Demonstrable skills in marketing, networking and community outreach
Comfortable with computer programs including: MS Word, Excel, and Access, media such as Facebook, Gmail & Twitter.
