Office Assistant / Patient Liaison (San Francisco)
Looking for an extraordinary office assistant for a boutique naturopathic medical practice in San Francisco. We are seeking an experienced office assistant that is able to work 32 hours per week with flexibility to increase hours as needed to meet the demands of the practice.
Working under the supervision of the practice owner, the office assistant is responsible for taking care of the practice’s day-to-day operations, including patient care and follow up, front desk responsibilities and light administrative work. This position requires excellent customer service skills, great attention to detail, superb organizational skills and office assistant experience.

The responsibilities and duties of this position described here are representative of those the office assistant must perform. This is not a comprehensive list and other duties may be assigned.
o Act as patient liaison – continual follow-up with patients to ensure they are getting the care they need.
o Inventory management
o End of day, week and month tracking reports
o End of day, week and month financial closeouts
o Anticipate the needs of the practice and promptly inform us of these needs so we can make the necessary adjustments
o Help develop new procedures to increase the efficiency and success of the practice
o Ensure the practice is clean and tidy
Customer service responsibilities:
o Answer phone and schedule appointments
o Manage email
o Check patients in and out, print invoices and process payments
o Discuss with patients any concerns about payment and insurance
o Follow-up with insurance companies when necessary
o Manage patient files to ensure all necessary info is present for upcoming appointments
2+ years experience in a professional office setting as office administrator, office manager or office assistant is mandatory.
We are striving to be a paperless practice so excellent computer skills are mandatory.
Experience with apple/mac computers is mandatory.
2+ years experience in a complementary or alternative medical office is a plus.
Book keeping education and/or experience is a plus.
Experience with practice management software is a plus.
