BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY

Location: Lexington, Kentucky

Date Posted: 02/10/2014

I am the owner and an acupuncturist of Artemesia Acupuncture in beautiful Lexington, Kentucky who is looking for someone to purchase my business. I have been in business for 16 years and have had one or two independent contractors and two part time office employees. I am looking for a dedicated, honest, and energetic person who is interested in either buying my practice outright or with a transition time of one to three years. This agreement would allow me to still work as an acupuncturist for Artemesia as an employee or partner for an agreed upon period of time. This practice has an interesting, dedicated, and diverse group of patients.

This is a unique opportunity to transition into an established acupuncture practice. In the words of Sally Arent McCain, Lic. Ac., B.A.C., Dipl.Ac. From her book Build Your Own Thriving Heath Care Practice: A Step by Step Guide for Building and Maintaining A Successful practice: “As you begin your transition from student or practice situation where you were not self-governing, you focus is changing to become an independent professional in charge of your own practice. Having a private practice, however, does not mean working alone. To have a successful private practice is to have a network of advisors, colleagues, consultants and friends to support you, guide you, provide legal and financial advice, sort through business ideas, brainstorm, offer feedback and help you stay balanced in your life. A network allows you to share in others’ wisdom, insights and experience. Your network helps you grow your practice as well as your own personal development. A person in private practice needs to be supported and connected, developing a strong foundation for your practice.”

Past financial records over the years indicate Artemesia is a recession proof business. Artemesia has a wonderful, capable, and supportive staff. We have been voted the “Best Acupuncture Clinic in Lexington” for good reason.

Lexington, a beautiful city of approximately 275,000 people is surrounded with some of the most lush and gorgeous horse farms in the world. It also has a thriving arts scene that includes the Lexington Philharmonic, Woodsong’s Old Time Radio Hour, Gallery Hops, and an Opera House that brings Off Broadway plays and musicals. It is an intellectually progressive town being the home of the University of Kentucky and Transylvania University. Did I mention basketball (men’s and women’s) an increasing number of biking and walking trails, and Raven Run Nature Sanctuary? Lexington is also close to the larger cities of Cincinnati and Louisville. It is the horse capital of the world.
