Beautiful, fully equipped office/treatment room to share

Gorgeous office/treatment space to share in 1923 craftsman which was converted to a wellness center in 2007. It is a clean, warm and welcoming space with many designer touches. We are located near the corner of N Killingsworth and N Commercial Ave. The McMennamin’s Chapel Pub and the North Portland Library are right across the street and our building is right next to the PCC Cascade campus.

You would share the room with me only (an ND x 3 years). Other practitioners in the clinic include a chiropractor (who is also a professor at Western States), an acupuncturist, 2 LMTs and a mental health therapist who are all well-established and very friendly and awesome. I’m open to sharing with another ND or someone with a different discipline as can be reasonably accommodated.

My office is quite large and includes a consult area (with comfortable, large leather chairs), separate office/medicinary area that can be closed off from the main room, and an exam/treatment area. There is even a walk-in closet with a window and a work shelf! It is pretty amazing — I feel very lucky to have found this space. It’s on the second floor (easy stairs with handrails on both sides) with lots of windows and a warm southern exposure. Building has air conditioning so it’s not too hot in the summer.

I’m looking to share my space with a fellow high-integrity practitioner on the days and times I’m not in the office (see below). This is a great opportunity for a newly licensed ND or other medical or alternative medicine professional to get their practice off the ground as it is fully equipped and reasonably priced. No need to buy a bunch of equipment as it’s all here — just plug in and go! Treatment area includes bariatric exam table (holds up to 500lbs) with a wide, stable step up, gyn stirrups and drawers. Bathroom is directly across the hall from the office and includes tub/shower.

The room has a very specific aesthetic which I’m not open to change, however, I may be able to work in a file/supply cabinet, bookcase or massage table for your exclusive use if needed. I should also note that I work from a “Health at Every Size” perspective, and as such I am quite protective of my clientele in terms of having my office be a safe and welcoming space for people of all sizes. For example, I have a calendar in my office with pictures of large people doing yoga, and other body-positive books and messages throughout. If you feel at all uncomfortable reading that then this would probably not be a good fit. However if you thought “that’s so cool!” then it may be a great fit!

Rent is $395/month and includes these expenses: utilities, water cooler, alarm, copier and other paper supplies, fax and monthly housekeeping service. Scheduling, admin, billing and credit card processing are not included and would be your own expense and initiative to set up (I’m willing to offer suggestions if requested). We may get an admin person in the future but right now there is no front desk help.

Room is available for your use on the following days/times:
WED, THURS and FRI: mornings until 10:30am
SAT: after 2pm

Just to clarify this is a room-share rental only, you would not be joining my practice but would be a wholly independent, separate business.
