Farmers Market Sales – sustainable wellness company

We are a growing company in the business of honeybees and wellness products. We sell raw honey tonics, beeswax and honey skin & body care, and specialize in Pacific Northwest propolis. Our unique product line showcases Pacific Northwest honeybee products. We raise honeybees ourselves, and also source healing hive products from local beekeepers. Our product line is made in small batches by hand in Gresham, Oregon. We sell our offerings at farmers markets, coops, grocery stores, natural health care clinics, spas, and boutique shops.

Sales Associate Job Description
20-35 hours per week
$12.00 per hour
Position begins in mid-March.

Primary duties:
-Assist with direct sales at farmers’ market booths in the Portland area.
-Be knowledgeable about our products and business.
-Provide samples and customer education about our offerings.
-Booth setup and break down.
-Tracking sales records and inventory.
-Training will be provided for all aspects of this position.

Job Requirements:
-Sales experience – farmers’ market experience is a plus;

-Reliable transportation (a car with insurance) and a clean driving record;

-A flexible schedule –evenings and weekends make up the bulk of the hours;

-You are an enthusiastic people person: pleasant, direct, friendly, and excellent at engaging and chatting with a wide range of customers;

-Desires long-term employment;

-Interest in herbal products and/or sustainable agriculture is a plus.

-Do you have any additional skill sets you think would help us grow our business? Are you an Excel guru, a photographer, a WordPress pro, etc.? Tell us about it!

Option for additional hours working in the kitchen, to assist in making all of our products.
