Deanne Tibbitts earned her PhD in Molecular and Medical Genetics from Oregon Health & Science University in 2011. Working at the intersection of genetics and cancer biology, Deanne used both cell culture and animal models to study the molecular basis of leukemia and to test compounds for targeted, anti-leukemic activity. At NCNM, Deanne is an adjunct faculty member who provides instruction in cell culture and serves as a mentor for students in the Master of Science in Integrative Medicine Research program who are studying the anti-cancer properties of herbal and natural medicines.
