Online Research at NCNM Library
What was that book I checked out last term?
There is now a reading history option within the Library catalog. If you turn this option on, the catalog will keep track of the library materials you have checked out, and you can view a list of them anytime. This function is not automatically turned on - you need to go into your patron record and activate it for it to work. If you would like to turn on your reading history, log into your patron record, then click on the "My Reading History" link, then click on the "Opt In" link. If at any time you wish to discontinue your reading history, go to the same place and click on "Opt Out."
We have a subscription to Classical Chinese Medicine, a database committed to honoring and restoring the classical origins of Chinese medicine. Developed by Dr. Heiner Fruehauf, and other like-minded scholars, you will find here an extensive collection of audio and video-taped lectures as well as previously unpublished material on Classical Chinese Medicine. Access to the database requires a user ID and password, available in the library. The URL is http://associates.classicalchinesemedicine.org/.
Easier Off-Campus Database Access is Here!
Most of our databases that allow off-campus use can now be accessed with your name and library barcode. Find the database you want on the Databases webpage, then simply click on the "Off-Campus Users" link, and you will be taken to a page asking for your last name and barcode number. Some databases and journals still require a username and password, which can be obtained by visiting or calling the front desk. Questions? Call us at 503-552-1542.
Find Books Worldwide With WorldCat

Improved Full-Text Access From PubMed
Getting to full-text articles from your PubMed search is now much easier! PubMed's new LinkOut feature makes it easy to identify NCNM-subscribed articles from your list of search results. With one click, you can access an electronic article or verify that the library has the journal in print. This feature works both on and off campus. Read our short tutorial and start using this enhancement today.
