Sasang Constitutional Medicine
Research Participation Opportunity - Men Especially Needed
Participate in a study on traditional Korean medicine called Sasang consitutional medicine.
Sasang includes different body "types" based on personality, body type, face and voice. Each type has its own nutrition and exercise needs.
Researchers in Korea have created a program that analyzes men and women who are Asian and of Korean descent to find out which Sasang type they are. These researchers are doing a similar study in Portland, OR to assess white people of European descent.
Participation in this study involves one study visit. At the visit, participants will be asked to complete a questionnaire, have pictures taken of their face, have their voice recorded, and have their body measurements taken. The visit will take about 90 minutes and take place at Helfgott Research Institute.
Participants will receive:
A $100 check
A Sasang constitutional type analysis
You may qualify if you:
Are between 18 and 30 years old, male or female
Identify as White American and of European descent
Speak and understand English
Are able to provide consent
Are not currently diagnosed with heart or kidney failure, or liver disease
Are willing to have measurements taken of your forehead, neck, chest, ribs, waist, pelvis, and hips
We are no longer recruiting participants for this study.
