Tracy Thorne, MAOM, LAc
Tracy Thorne received her MAOM from the New England School of Acupuncture where she studied Chinese and Japanese acupuncture and herbal medicine. Prior to that she received her Masters in Theology from Harvard Divinity School.
Tracy is currently a clinical supervisor at both the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM) and NCNM and adjunct faculty at OCOM. She maintains a private practice in SE Portland, specializing in traditional Japanese & Chinese medicine, fitness and yoga consultations.
Tracy is co-investigator of the recent study "Moxibustion for Spleen Qi Deficiency Fatigue" with Agatha Colbert, MD. This study explored the use of Sawada and Fukaya style direct moxa (tonnetuskyu) at eleven acupuncture points in participants with fatigue who exhibited symptoms of the Chinese medicine differentiation of spleen qi deficiency.
