Student Expenses

Tuition and Fees

Beginning in fall 2011, all first and second year academic courses will be charged at the per-credit rate of $358. Third year academic courses will be charged at the per-credit rate of $351. Clinic shift courses will be charged at the per-credit rate of $351. Fourth year and higher academic courses will be charged at the per-credit rate of $341. Amounts paid must be in U.S. currency. Students who elect to pay their account balances with a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover) will be charged a convenience fee of 3% at the time of processing.  Payments made by debit card and/or check will not be charged a fee.

Other Expenses

Students are required to purchase textbooks and other personal equipment, as well as basic diagnostic equipment for use in courses and clinic. These costs vary from year to year.

Estimated costs applicable to a full-time first year student enrolled in the four-year ND, MSOM, MAc MSiMR or concurrent (ND & MSOM or ND & MAc) program during the 2011-2012 academic year are estimated as follows:

Financial Aid 

98% of students at NCNM receive some form of federal aid which includes loans and/or workstudy. Below are examples of average indebtedness for the different programs when a student borrows maximum loans to cover tuition and living expenses.

  • Average undergraduate debt is:  $24,000 per student
  • 4-year ND student Stafford indebtedness $168,667

  • 5-year ND student Stafford indebtedness $209,167

  • 4-year MSOM or MAc student Stafford indebtedness $88,667

  • 5-year MSOM or MAc student Stafford indebtedness $109,167

  • Federal Grad PLUS loan: average annual amount borrowed is $15,878
