Student Representative Overview

You will be responsible for an increase in student seminar attendance, and revenue growth at NCNM by introducing our product line to students. As a student representative, you will be promoting Apex seminars and products in-person at the NCNM.

Sales

You will be responsible for seminar and sales growth at NCNM by introducing students, and practitioners to our world class education, and product line. As a student representative, you will take initiative to introduce and register new students, as well as past student attendees to Apex seminars.  

Support 

Team up with a top company with an unequaled product line. You will receive ongoing support from Becca Morrow, as well as with other NCNM events where Apex has a presence, including training, a system to follow, marketing support, and assistance from an outstanding customer service team.  

Accountabilities

  • Refer/register a minimum of 5-10 new students for each seminar

  • Increase new business growth; seminar attendance and product purchases with NCNM.

  • Responsible for prospecting and referring new students monthly 

  • Attend all local seminars, and assist by greeting practitioners, making Clearvite shakes, sharing your personal testimony, and answering basic questions. 

  • Responsible for display tables at all NCNM events such as Health Biz Expo’s, etc.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled at NCNM and be in your third year.

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in sales environment, with nutritional products helpful.

  • Experience in an activity-based “proactive” sales environment.

  • Consistently meet or exceed quota for new business.

  • Ability to be successful in an environment of continuous improvements and stretch targets.

  • Ability to sell to and manage customer relationships with students and practitioners with the highest level of professionalism.

ZRT Laboratory

Medical Student Representative for ZRT Laboratory

Job Description

Candidate will be a liaison between ZRT Laboratory and the medical school attended. Within the school the student will help answer student questions about hormone testing, consult with ZRT staff for more information if needed, and represent ZRT at appropriate school functions. The candidate will also serve to identify ways that ZRT may become more involved in supporting the medical students, staff, research and school. The student will assist ZRT to better understand the testing needs of future medical professionals.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be:

  • a second or third year medical student with interest in endocrinology

  • available for training through teleconferences and webinars for 8-10 hours remotely or train at least 8 hours in person at ZRT Laboratory in Portland, Oregon

  • obtain at least two (2) recommendations from college faculty where attending (forms supplied)

  • very responsible, personable and professional

Responsibilities

  • Establish ZRT’s presence at the medical school by participating in events, exhibiting and helping identifying areas where ZRT could be involved.

  • Represent ZRT at such school occasions where ZRT has an exhibit, including setting up and taking down exhibits, working with ZRT to get the correct materials in a timely fashion, and making sure materials are returned to ZRT in proper condition

  • Represent ZRT informally by answering questions of students and staff, facilitating student and/or staff testing

  • Assist in research on topics generated by ZRT

  • Demonstrate consistently sound judgment, discretion and diplomacy in this position since work performed is often of a sensitive and/or confidential nature

  • Exhibit professionally appropriate attire at any school function when representing ZRT 

Time Required: 10 hours/month

Compensation: $300/month

Listed below are the guidelines required by both the student rep and Priority One. Please read them carefully before considering this position.
 
Your contract will be signed and approved yearly; this contract may be revoked by Priority One at any time if we feel your requirements are not being fulfilled satisfactorily.
 
Requirements:

  • Each student representative must be in contact with Priority One by email (written contact is necessary for our records) by the 4th day of every month, giving a description of your plans for that month, along with any other information that may have been requested by Priority One.

  • Provide information regarding upcoming school functions,  vendor days, graduation dates,  or any items of interest from alumni and the medical community

  • All vendor fairs & products fairs are mandatory to staff booth

  • Once a year mandatory staff booth with a Priority One representative in a local convention in your area.

  • Provide assistance for quarterly lunch & learn seminars, including helping coordinate speakers, bring in lunch, be knowledgeable on P1 products presented

  • By the 4th month of your hire date, have a general knowledge of most products

  • Know what products are currently being used in the Medicinary and be able to recommend additional P1 products for use, provide guideline as to requirements of your school in order to introduce more products to your Medicinary

  • Learn about five new products a month

  • Distribute 15 catalogs monthly

  • Distribute samples to students

  • Facilitate two functions each month (vendor fair, raffle, table in hall, hand out samples)

  • Provide scheduling of events and dates of functions with at least 4 weeks’ notice so that supplies can be sent accordingly

  • Provide answers to questions regarding product, take orders and distribute orders, within a timely and orderly manner

  • Provide training, material and assistance up to two months for a new student representative

  • Provide list of all graduating students including ND, DC, Acup, Chinese Medicine and distribute graduation packets as per your school guidelines

  • A monthly email by the 4th of each month updating of what you plan to do for the month

  • Write one researched article per scholastic year on our newsletter topics

  • Write one researched information sheet on a Priority One product that is submitted to you per scholastic year with references per our guidelines

  • Write half page every two months to be inserted in our newsletter about what is going on at your college, research being conducted, clinical observations (what outside physicians would be interested in that have graduated from your college)

  • Minimum sales requirements for your school based on an average of last year sales (which will be submitted to you)

  • Each year your contract will be reviewed and updated, subject to rehire for the next year

  • You agree to be a sole representative of Priority One Nutritional Supplements Inc. unless other arrangements have been made.

  • You will be required to receive packages at your home from UPS and send packages back by call tag from UPS

  • You will be required to drop your monthly returns to a UPS depot in your area


If you miss more than two weeks of school consecutively, due to vacation, traveling, etc. this will be considered a non-paid month and your travel dates must be submitted to Priority One by email.

All student representatives are paid for the months of September through June, $400 monthly before taxes. September is when we will be sending you supplies.

This is to inform you that you will NOT receive a W-2 at the end of the calendar year you will receive a 1099, please remember to take out your own taxes for the year, as Priority One will not be removing taxes for you.

July and August are considered OFF months, with no paycheck for those months. Payroll is processed on the 4th Thursday of every month. Monthly Salary:  $400 Plus Commission on Sales

KIRKMAN® is the oldest and one of the leading manufacturers of nutritional supplements for individuals with food allergies, special dietary requirements and environmental sensitivities.

Requirements/Responsibilities

  • The student representative must be in contact by Google Drive (written contact is necessary for our records) by the 4th of every month, giving a description of your ideas for that month based on the school’s events and calendar, along with any other information that may have been requested by supervisor.

  • Calendar Events:  Provide information regarding upcoming school functions, vendor days, graduation dates, or any items of interest from alumni and the medical community.

  • Student reps are to be responsible for keeping KOI up-to-date on various marketing opportunities at the campus, including but not limited to:

    • Setting up and staffing vendor fairs, product fairs and other events on campus

    • Keep KOI Professional catalogs stocked at all times and distribute new product announcements to students when available

    • Campus demos when appropriate

    • Provide answers to questions regarding product, take orders and distribute orders, within a timely and orderly manner (24 hours)

    • Inform KOI of any Grand Round, Brown Bag Lunch, or other opportunities for KOI to provide a speaker on or near campus

    • Knowledgeable on products presented at events

  • Know what products are currently being used in the Medicinary and be able to recommend additional products for use, provide guideline as to requirements of your school in order to introduce more products to your Medicinary

  • Provide scheduling of events and dates of functions with at least four weeks’ notice so that supplies can be sent accordingly.

  • Provide a list of all graduating students, including ND, DC, Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine and distribute graduation packets as per your school guidelines.

  • Student reps are a direct representative of Kirkman Oregon, Inc. and should act as a professional liaison between KOI and the students and faculty of NCNM.

  • KOI may ask for assistance at medical conferences that are at or near to the student rep’s home.  All expenses will be reimbursed, but there is no additional compensation

  • Student reps will be required to place orders with their student rep supervisor via e-mail or phone

  • Communicate in person on a regular basis and build relationships with Medicinary manager(s) and residents at university clinic(s) to help increase sales and new product awareness.  Provide them with new product information, free samples, etc. to help ensure that KOI is being adequately represented and utilized

Requirements/Responsibilities

  • An incoming second year student

  • Promoting Meridian Valley lab testing of choice for practitioners who are interested in implementing them into their practice both on and off campus

  • Coordinating educational and informational seminars

  • Managing the presentation of products and materials on campus through announcements, case displays and product sampling days at least once a month

  • Acting as a liaison with key students, administration and faculty on campus

  • Advising the company of opportunities for timely and effective campus promotions to the students

  • Visit with our local clientele in the area

Opportunities

  • Be invited to and given the opportunity to attend symposiums and conferences where you will have the opportunity to work with our Marketing department and consulting physicians in interacting with clientele and attend lectures on topics in the field of medicine
