Applications take a minimum of 2 weeks to review.  If Continuing Education requirements are requested please submit the application at least 6 weeks prior to your event date as Boards and Review committees have a longer turn around time to approve Continuing Education Units.

Currently, 12 of the 15 states that license naturopathic physicians in America have regulations for the renewal process that requires CEU. NCNM is eligible to provide CEU for all 12 states. See your state's CEU requirements here.

Policies

If you have questions about CE registration, please email ceregister@ncnm.edu or call 503-552-1517. If you would like to stop by, we are located in Suite 300 in the administration building, across the street from the NCNM academic building. Appointments are encouraged.

Continuing and Community Education Presenter & Participant Policy Document (PDF)

1.  Class Registration for Participants:

          In Person:   Registration that is processed within the first 30 minutes before the starting time of each class must be completed at the computers on NCNM campus with VISA or MasterCard, OR a $15 processing fee will be added to any checks received at starting of class. However, space may be limited so advance registration is encouraged.

     b.  Payment options for participants: Cash, check, Visa*, MasterCard* (* accepted online). Registration is encouraged to be completed 24 hours prior to class start.

     c.  Returned checks for participants: A $25 fee will be charged for returned checks.

2.  Refund Policy for Participants:
     a.  Participants dropping a class more than seven business days before the beginning of the class will receive 100% refund.
     b.  Dropping a class will result in a $15 processing fee in addition to;
          1.  less than one week before the start date will receive 50% refund
          2.  same day of the class will receive a 25% refund
     c.  Refunds may take up to three weeks to process and will be mailed to the address provided.
     d.  Any special circumstances may be petitioned by contacting the CE department.

      e. The college assumes no responsibility for expenses incurred by a participant expecting enrollment in a class other than for tuition.

3.  Class Cancellation:
Minimum enrollment is 3 participants registered 7 days prior to first date of class.  If this minimum is not met a class will be cancelled. Participants will be notified in advance by phone or email and a full refund will be issued. No processing fee will apply. Room deposit is non-refundable for the presenter. It is the participant’s responsibility to keep all contact information up to date with the CE department. The college assumes no responsibility for expenses incurred by a participant expecting enrollment in a class other than for tuition and lab or institutional fees

4.  Credit/Transfer Policy:
Professional education credits for ND and LAc are pending approval by the OBNE or other professional bureau unless otherwise noted.

      a. Other Professional Continuing Education Units: NCNM CE classes are not yet pre-approved for CEUs within any other professional organizations. However, if the criteria are met for professional CEUs and the attendee wishes to apply for credit, NCNM is willing to supply the necessary paperwork to facilitate this process.

5.  Transfer Credit:
CE classes are not transferable as elective or academic credit.

6.  Wait List: If a class is full, we can add your name to the waiting list and call you when a space becomes available. We will make every attempt to open additional classes once maximum enrollment has been reached.  Participants can request to be waitlisted at ceregister@ncnm.edu.

7.  Parking: Is free in evenings after 6:00 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays, in both NCNM parking lots.  Parking is also available around the college for two-hour time limits. NCNM is not responsible for lost or stolen items from the grounds. 

8.  Special Accommodations: If you need special accommodations, please notify the NCNM CE department at least two weeks before class to ensure that appropriate arrangements can be made.
