Original Date: March 15, 2013
Presenter: Regina Flanagan, ND

1.5 general CEUs for NDs approved by OBNM and CNDA

In pregnancy, labor, and postpartum, women’s bodies are a hormonally complex and rapidly changing environment. While we know some about these changes and their physical manifestations, much remains unknown. This complexity is an inspiring picture of the capabilities of the human body.

In this presentation Dr. Flanagan discusses what is understood of the normal function of the endocrine system during the postpartum period and during breastfeeding, common clinical presentations for women who may be suffering from hormonal and/or endocrine malfunction during this time, and diagnosis of these presentations including laboratory work up, and physical exam, and treatments from nature cure to pharmaceuticals.
