Participants will receive The Brain Book written by Peter Russell, contributions by Brian Weller.
Please bring to the course:
- A text book that is relevant to your course of study at NCNM
- A sample of your normal notes taken in class and study
- A professional journal, magazine or research paper
You should also bring:
A pack of fine color pens (minimum 12 colors). The Steadtler ‘triplus fineliner’ 20 color pen set
- A plain white drawing pad (large format–11 x 17 or larger!)
- A note book
- Highlighter pens in two colors

Brian Weller is from the British Isles and has lived in Northern California for the past 20 years. He is the founder of Ultimate Study Skills and a developer of Mind Mapping with Tony Buzan in the 1970’s. Brian is a spokesman and seminar leader on Economic Localization, helping communities prepare for the challenges of climate change and runs Ultimate Study Skills seminars for the Bainbridge Graduate Institute and the Dominican University Green MBA. Brian is also a senior strategic adviser with HoloGenesis, a Marin county technology start up company that is creating novel solutions to address sustainability and the new web 3.0 frontier. In 2006 he was one of 112 invited world experts at the Table of Free Voices in Berlin at the request of The Dropping Knowledge Organization and the German government. He has worked as a teacher and facilitator in schools, universities, the British Civil Service and has taught many Fortune 100 international corporations.
