Administration Building
The Ross Island Campus of NCNM, which caters for the formal academics and the Student Services functions, is located one mile south of downtown Portland on the west side of the Willamette River.
PLEASE NOTE: Most administrative staff is now housed just across SW Hooker at 2828 SW Naito Parkway, so for Admissions, Business Office and administrative functions other than Student Services, please go to Suite 300 (top floor) and ask for directions at reception.
The river and two snow-capped peaks, Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helens, fill the views of many windows on the north and east sides of the historic three-story, red-brick building. The 60,000-square-foot main campus building houses Student Services, faculty offices, class and lecture rooms, laboratories, the library, and the bookstore. In proximity to this campus are Oregon Health Sciences University and Portland State University, two urban institutions of higher education whose learning facilities are available to NCNM students.

Coming from West of Portland Metro
From Hwy 26 Eastbound
-
Follow Highway East-26 (Sunset Highway) towards Downtown Portland.

Get in right lane before tunnel. Follow the Dalles/Salem signs (405 S/E 26).
-
After tunnel, lane veers right to follow 405 South/Highway 26-East.
-
Stay in the right hand lane and follow first exit 1C ( 6th Ave ).

Exit 1C empties on 5th Ave. Wind down 5th Ave. through three lights.

At the fourth light, turn left onto Sheridan Street (facing the YMCA).
-
Follow Sheridan St. as it curves through to Arthur St. (stay in left lane).
-
Go through light at Arthur St. and 1st Ave. and go under the overpass.
-
Stay in left hand lane, and do not take bridge exit.
-
Arthur St. changes to Kelly St. and wraps around to a stop sign at SW Porter St.

Turn right onto Porter St. and then second right into parking lot.
Coming from North of Portland Metro
From I-5 Southbound
-
Continue on I-5 southbound until you are crossing the Willamette River on the Marquam Bridge.

The bridge will fork.
-
Take the left fork - exit 405 hwy 26 N to Beaverton, and then take the first exit.

Exit right at 4th Ave. exit.

Turn right at first light onto Lincoln.

Turn right at first light onto 1st Ave.
-
Turn left at first light into the left lane of Arthur St. and take left fork under the overpass.

At stop sign, turn right onto Porter St.
-
Turn into second driveway on right.
Coming from South of Portland Metro
From I-5 Northbound
-
Exit right at the Corbett Exit.
-
At the stop sign, turn left onto SW Corbett.
-
Follow Corbett - it will eventually curve left, go under a bridge, then curve right to merge onto SW 1st Ave.
-
At the signal, turn right onto SW Arthur St. then immediately get into the left lane and take the left fork under the overpass. (Effectively you're going straight while the main traffic flow turns sharp right.)

Arthur St. changes to Kelly St. as it bends to the right and takes you to the stop sign at SW Porter and Kelly.
- Turn right onto Porter St. and then second right into parking lot.
Coming from East of Portland Metro
From I-84 Westbound

Take I-84/30 West following Beaverton/Salem Signs.

Follow the I-84/30 West fork left to cross the Marquam Bridge (I-5S)- 405 South.

Follow Beaverton/City Center signs over Marquam Bridge.

Take exit 1B, 4th Ave.
-
Take 4th Ave. to Lincoln St.
-
Turn right on Lincoln St.
-
Follow to First Ave.
-
Turn right on First Ave. and follow to Arthur St. (7-11 Convenience store).

Turn left onto Arthur St. and stay in the left hand lane to go under overpass. Do not take the bridge exit.

Arthur St. changes to Kelly St. as it bends to the right and takes you to the stop sign at SW Porter and Kelly.
- Turn right onto Porter St. and then second right into parking lot.
From Portland International Airport (PDX)
-
Follow I-205 southbound and take the Powell Blvd. / Highway 26 Exit.
-
Head west on Powell Blvd. / Highway 26 to the Ross Island bridge. Make sure you're in the left lane when you cross the bridge.

The bridge lanes fork at the end. Stay in the left lane, and at the end of the bridge go straight on, thereby taking the exit for Barbur Blvd. Slow down as you take the exit - shortly you'll be making a fairly sharp right onto SW Water Ave!

Take the first right turn onto SW Water Ave. (There's a short, curved exit leading onto Water Ave.)
- Once you're on Water Ave, the college is straight ahead of you, across SW Porter St.

At the T-junction, turn left onto SW Porter St, then immediately right into the parking lot.
From Downtown Portland

Drive East toward the river to Front Ave.
-
Turn right onto Front Ave.
-
Follow Front Ave. through downtown until Sheridan St. Exit merges off to right.

Follow exit to stop sign, turn left onto 1st Ave.
-
At stoplight, turn left into the left lane of Arthur St. and take left fork under the overpass.

At stop sign, turn right onto Porter St.
-
Turn into second driveway on right.

Tri-met has a great trip planner.
If you are taking Tri-Met here are some of the buses that pass near the school 9,17,19,35,40,43.
