College and Program Accreditation

The degree of Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (ND), the Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) and the Master of Acupuncture (MAc) degrees are approved by the State of Oregon through its Office of Degree Authorization, 1500 Valley River Drive, Suite 100, Eugene, OR 97401. Approval is granted to institutions that satisfy state academic standards under Oregon Administrative Rule 583-030.

The degree program in naturopathic medicine is accredited by the Council on Naturopathic Medical Education (CNME), a programmatic accrediting agency. Their offices are located at P.O. Box 178, Great Barrington, MA  01230.

NCNM's MSOM and MAc programs are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM). ACAOM is a programmatic accrediting agency for the approval of programs preparing acupuncture and Oriental medicine practitioners. 7501 Greenway Center Drive, Suite 760, Greenbelt, MD  20770.

Both programmatic accreditors are recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

The Master of Science in Oriental Medicine Program is approved by the California Board of Acupuncture and the New Mexico Board of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (allowing graduates to sit for their state licensing exams).

NCNM is accredited at both the master's and naturopathic doctoral degree levels with the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). The Northwest Commission is one of six U.S. regional accrediting bodies recognized by the Secretary of Education. They are located at 8060 165th Avenue NE, Suite 100, Redmond, WA  98052.
